Encounter - Jack Frost and Me
There I was on a cold day just sitting in the living room Ignoring the real world with my headphones on, I peeked outside the window to see a big wonderful tree being covered in falling white then I noticed it was Snowing. "Oh good, what's better than Freezing my ass off?" I said sarcastically. I decided to stand up and go up to my room where it was warmer, I then went to peek outside the window once more and I see some kids playing in the snow, "How can they play in it? I mean it's cold, wet and who would want to get frostbite? " I asked myself. When I decided to take a piece of paper and a pencil to draw, my mother opens my door room, "Nicholle, would you be a dear and clear out the snow from the car? I need to go to an important work reunion." She says. "What's in it for me?" I ask, "I'll buy you that game you so want!" Mom always knows my weaknesses. "Ok", "Thank you Nicholle" She then leaves and closes the door. Wow first time she ACTUALLY closes my door! I then go over to my closet to dress for the cold "I wouldn't want to get any colder that I already am." I then sigh before going outside, scared because I've never even been close to touching the snow and just as I step out, "JESUS IT'S FREEZING OUT HERE!" I exclaimed as I shivered. I then was able to stop shivering and began to walk towards the car, managing to get almost all of the snow off. "What are you doing?" I hear a young male voice say annoyed and curious. "What the-?" I ask "I'm going crazy." I whisper to myself. I decided to go back inside once I was done because I didn't want to be there more than I needed to "Where are you going?" I hear the same voice say, I decided to pick up the first blunt item I could find, "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" I exclaimed holding a strong branch, "I'm right In front of you." He says almost laughing, "WHAT?!" I say confused believing I was being pranked by one of the neighbors kids, "Ok, Who are you then?" I asked calmly, "Jack; Jack Frost, as in the guardian of winter" he answers "WHAT?! OK, WHO THE HELL IS PRANKING ME?!" I say believing that I was being mistaken for an idiot. "Ok now answer Honestly, WHERE ARE YOU?!" I say angered, "I already said, I'm in front of you!" He says a bit annoyed. "Then why can't I see you" I ask "*sigh* Do you believe in me?" "WHAT!?" "You gotta believe if you want to see me" he says a bit disappointed. "Uhhh ok, I guess I'll try to" After a few tries I open my eyes to see his crystal-blue eyes facing me upside down, my face goes a bit red from him being too close to my face. "WHAT!? You ARE real!" I exclaimed "Are you surprised?" he asks with a smirk on his face. "Yes! YOU'RE JACK FROST!!!" I nod excitedly, "See? Now that's more like it!" He says excitedly as he pokes my forehead. I just couldn't bring myself to not giggle on how childish he looked! "Why don't you go play in the snow like all the other kids?" He asks curiously, "Well I'm not exactly a 'Kid' anymore and I don't like the snow so much because it's cold and wet." I said to him regretting a bit of it, feeling as though I might have insulted him. "So? They don't seem to mind it." Jack then throws a snowball unexpectedly at my face. "WHAT THE HELL JACK?!" I exclaimed "See? Wasn't that fun?" Said jack with an innocent smirk on his face. I smiled and said "Well Maybe a little fun won't kill me" I then grab a Snowball and throw it at him but I missed. After a long while we decided to stop playing after Jack noticed me completely covered in snow and shivering. Just as we were about to fall down to the snow covered ground, I noticed my mom walking up from  the window and the car got covered in snow again after the snowball fight, I was aware of what could happened If I didn't finished clearing the snow off the car. "Aw crap." I whispered to myself after my mom called my name, "Jack I'll be back I swear!" I told Jack as I ran inside but before going inside he asks "what's YOUR name?" "It's Nicholle!" I replied as I went inside, "Hi mom." I told her while being a bit nervous. "The car is still covered in snow" she said disappointed, "yeah I know sorry it's just that-" I paused and stopped to think what would she say if I told her about Jack Frost? Would she would say to stop making up excuses? "Just that what?" She asks, "Just that there were some kids having a snowball fight and they hit the car by accident!" I said quickly as an excuse, she then hugged me and left to get ready. Then on the counter there was a cup of coffee for me on the table. I quickly drank the coffee and went outside as fast as I could, "Jack? JACK! Where are you?" I kept calling out for Jack But he didn't respond; I quickly began to feel disappointed at the thought of him leaving, thinking as though I would never see him again. When I turned to see the car it was completely cleared of all the snow, "Wow! I wonder if Jack did this? Maybe he's not SO bad at all!" My cheeks turned a bit red at the thought of seeing Jack again, Whoa wait! Was I starting to actually LIKE the Guardian of winter? I decided to go back inside and up to my room to change from that white covered outfit into new fresh 'home' clothes, I went to go tell mom that the car was clear and as I walk inside her room my mother asks for help to put on her necklace, after I help her I tell her about the car and she gives me a huge hug and says "I knew I could trust you with the job and I'll get you that game as soon as I come back ok?" "Ok!" I respond, She then leaves the room and tells me that she will be back tomorrow night that If I needed anything to call my sisters. I watched as my mother left thru a window and I looked at the clock, it pointed 7:50 pm. I put my head on my pillow to rest for a while and fell asleep by accident, moments later I was awoken the sound of some glass being tapped, I got up and decided to grab my night lamp for defense and I slowly peeked out the curtains a bit when I noticed a bit of some white hair, "Jack?" I asked, "hey, are you alone? I saw a car leave." he says "yes and I was sleeping. "Oh sorry, maybe I should just go and come back later." "No it's ok I wasn't planning on sleeping so early anyway" I responded. "Well in that case, would you care to join me Nicholle?" he asks with such an Innocent smile on his face, I just couldn't resist! "Ok!" I said excitedly. Jack then grabbed my hands and lifted us up slowly, I was nervous considering the fact I'm afraid of heights. "uuuuuhhhh!?!?" Jack noticed that I was getting scared and decides to put me down and take me on his back, "hold on tight!" He says with a big smile on his face as he takes off. After a while we reached a Hill and Jack puts me down as we sit at the edge and stare at the city for quite some time. Jack then scoots closer to me, leans on my shoulder and says "You know I've been around your house a lot of times before.", "Really?" I responded while blushing. "But you never saw me when I stood there" He said disappointed, "I'm sorry! It's just that growing up I've been told that the guardians weren't rea-" I was stopped as Jack's cold lips touched mine. It was Incredible it seemed as though neither of us wanted to stop the kiss. After about half a minute we parted them, as Jack's pale cheeks were blushing was soon interrupted by shock at the sight of my now blue-ish skin color, "J-J-Jack." I said shivering, "D-don't worry I'll get you someplace warm! Jeez, WHY AM I SO CARELESS!?" He exclaimed feeling stupid, "Don't w-w-worry J-Jack It's my fault f-f-for n-n-not wearing m-m-more winter appropriate c-clothes!" I said shivering. "No! It's my fault for not being more careful! You could get completely sick or worse! " he said scared, "D-don't be l-l-like t-that!" I said to make him feel better "Ok I won't but, let's get you back home for now!" Jack then takes me on his back and flies me home as fast as he can, then places me on my bed and under the warmth of my blankets, just as I start to feel tired I decide to wake up in search of Jack before my heavy eyelids closed "JACK! JACK?" I exclaimed sad at the thought of him feeling horrible and trying to stay away from me "please…don't leave me Jack, I love you" I whispered to myself crying softly. The next morning I wake up "That was a weird dream." I said, thinking that the past events were all in my imagination, as I get up and walked to my mother's room, "Mom get up! It's 9:00 am" I exclaimed, just to see that there was no one there. I gasped at the thought of Jack Frost being real and that we DID kiss! I was lucky that I didn't get sick too! I then quickly changed into my winter clothes and ran outside, "JACK?! Are you there?" I exclaimed to see no reaction, feeling disappointed as I turned around to see Those Crystal-blue like eyes, his pale skin and his kind voice asking "Are you feeling better now?" and as I replied "Yes" he gave me a 'hello' kiss.
